The New York Knicks are still trying to close the series as they take a 3-2 lead into their NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs series Game 6 at home against the Boston Celtics. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET with TV coverage on ESPN and streaming on-demand.
Derrick White had 34 points, including seven 3-pointers, to push the Boston Celtics to a 127-102 Game 5 win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, and keep them alive in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Celtics connected on 22 3-pointers to post their first home victory of the series, even without Jayson Tatum, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury earlier this week.
The Knicks will try again to win the series Friday in New York, but if the Celtics can stave off defeat one more time, Game 7 will be in Boston on Monday. Jaylen Brown added 26 points and 12 assists. For the Knicks, Josh Hart had a team high 24 points.
