While John Cena was Kevin Owens' first great rival in WWE, with the wrestling icon set to retire in a few months, KO hilariously showed how much he loves the "Unseen 17."
The biggest story of 2025 in WWE has been the year-long retirement tour of Cena. The promotion legend has traveled the world to say goodbye to fans. However, some of his greatest rivals have also been able to say farewell inside the wrestling ring for one last match.
Future Hall of Famers CM Punk, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles will have the distinction of facing Cena one last time before he hangs up his boots. However, many others who didn't get to share the ring with him will have to find different ways to say goodbye and show their love for Cena. This weekend, Owens found a fantastic way to do so.
On Sunday, Cena posted a picture on his Instagram of Kevin Owens dressed up like a diehard Cenation member. In the photo, the one-time Universal champion is decked out in a "You Can't See Me" hat and wrist bands, a "Last Time is Now" shirt, and ordered an iced coffee and told the barista his name was John.
It looks like Owens may have been celebrating Halloween early because he posted a separate picture in his Cena gear on his own Instagram in a picture with his wife, where she was dressed up like a pirate.
If he were healthy, Owens likely would have been in the running to get one more match with Cena. However, he is currently sidelined as he recovers from surgery on his neck. The hope is that KO will be able to return to the ring at some point in 2026.
