Twin Falls avenged its only Great Basin Conference loss and forced a tie atop the league with two regular season matches remaining.

"We have been looking forward to this game," Twin Falls head coach Jaclyn Hawkins told the Times-News. "Wood River has a great program. Great players. It is just fun. It is always fun to have a rivalry game within the district. My girls have been working hard and we are a different team than we were when we faced them a few weeks ago so I was proud of that."

The Bruins established a quick start as each set featured numerous ties and lead changes. Twin Falls went on a 15-9 run to close out the second set then nearly overcame a 21-12 deficit in the third set.

Twin Falls setter Josephine Preucil recorded 32 assists. Twin Falls libero Valerie Black scooped up 12 digs.

"She (Black) was very disciplined tonight," Hawkins said. "She dug a ton of great balls. Passed well. She had a great assist to our hitters on out of system balls. Great second ball set. She served, she came in clutch on the serve late in the game."

Five seniors -- Rylee Hansen, Skylar Westburg, Molly Hodge, Josephine Preucil and Utah State commit Ava Martin -- have powered Twin Falls all season long as it seeks its third straight GBC crown.
