Hundreds of thousands of users have reported issues with Vodafone today (October 13), specifically with internet access.
On Downdetector, a peak of more than 131,000 reports had been raised at around 3pm, 70% of those were due to landline internet problems, and 22% of those were due to mobile internet issues.
Someone wrote on X: "@VodafoneUK My broadband is not working, your app won't load and when I ring the customer service number it says cannot be connected, is the whole of Vodafonedown? I can't even access website it says it cannot be connected?"
Another posted: "Looks like Vodafone Broadband has gone down across large parts of the country so that's nice.. And if you want support it's on Facebook or Instagram only, it seems..."
A third said: "Broadband and phone internet both down :/ #vodafone."
Newsquest has contacted Vodafone for comment.
Downdetector is an online website that allows users of popular services including X ( Twitter ), Instagram, Facebook , Virgin Media and more to report if they are having trouble with the services.
The site only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
Describing itself on its website, Downdetector is "where people go when services don't work."
The website monitors disruptions to various key services including the internet, web hosting platforms, banks, social media and more.
