Two teens arrested after laughing gas and cannabis seized from stolen car in Selly Oak - Birmingham Live

Two teenagers have been arrested after nitrous oxide and cannabis were seized from a stolen car in Birmingham.

Police were on patrol in Selly Oak on Wednesday, September 17, when they spotted a suspicious car and motorbike.

West Midlands Police said the motorbike 'turned out to be stolen' from outside the force area's less than 30 minutes before officers spotted it.

The force said the car, which was on false plates, had been used in a theft.

Cannabis, nitrous oxide and a large lock knife were seized from inside the vehicle.

A 15-year-old boy was later arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, taking from a motor vehicle, and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, taking from a motor vehicle, and possession of a blade.

The force said its investigation into the incident was ongoing.
