Yankees on verge of World Series after latest Emmanuel Clase meltdown

The Yankees wavered, but took a commanding 3-1 series lead in the ALCS.

After seeing a 6-2 lead over the Guardians evaporate, the Yankees regained the lead in the top of the ninth inning -- off of closer Emmanuel Clase again -- en route to their 8-6 win in Game 4.

Guardians shortstop Brayan Rocchio's error allowed the Yankees to take a 7-6 lead before Gleyber Torres drove in another run with a single.

Juan Soto's two-run homer in the first inning gave the Yankees an early lead.

The Yankees are now one win away from reaching the World Series for the first time since 2009.
