Squishmallows are back on the menu at McDonald's for a limited time. Starting Wednesday, May 14, the fast food chain will be offering 12 different pocket-sized stuffies with the purchase of a Happy Meal box -- including one never-before-seen design -
According to a press release, each Squishmallow comes with a character tag that gives the backstory about each character, as well as a code to play an interactive game. The new Squishmallow is an "Intergalactic Axolotl named Halley."
"You've waited patiently for two years, and we want to let all collectors know, there's a new squad on the block that you won't want to miss out on," the press release teases.
A McDonald's rep told Today that the toys will be available until June 9.
Squishmallows were first introduced to McDonalds in June 2023, when the fast food chain welcomed 24 "exclusive and seasonally themed" stuffies at participating locations in over 70 countries worldwide.
The beloved Squishes were later made available in the U.S. in December 2023, with a lineup that included classic characters and a special Grimace stuffy.
The new Happy Meal toy follows McDonald's Minecraft Movie Happy Meal, which hit restaurants nationwide on April 1. The meals were inspired by the Warner Bros. Pictures movie adaptation of the hit video game.

The Minecraft Happy Meals came with one of 12 figurines or Block World toys. Goodies included a miniature version of Jack Black's character in the movie, expert crafter Steve and a bumblebee straight out of the game.
On April 24, the fast food giant announced that they are adding McCrispy Strips to their menu. The new food marked the first permanent menu item the chain has added in four years.
The strips are made with white meat chicken and coated with crispy golden-brown breading that contains a black pepper flavoring.
