BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The party was on Saturday night at the F.G. Clark Activity Center for both Southern basketball teams.
The SU men and women received their 2024-25 SWAC regular season trophies before cutting down the nets.
The Southern men clinched the outright title after defeating Alabama A&M 71-57. The Lady Jaguars had already clinched the outright crown before losing to the Lady Bulldogs 48-35.
The SWAC Tournament begins Tuesday at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Both Southern basketball teams go in as top seeds and will open in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
