3 suspects wanted in distraction theft in Scarborough

Toronto police have released images of three suspects wanted in connection with a distraction theft in Scarborough last month.

Police said the suspects attended a business near Markham Road and Passmore Avenue on the afternoon of Aug. 18.

While one of the suspects was speaking to the owner and negotiating prices, the other two allegedly entered the office area and stole a quantity of cash.

All three later fled the area. It is unknown how much was stolen.

One suspect is described as being 30 years old, five-foot-nine, with a medium build and a black beard. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black flip flops, and a black and white cap.

The second suspect is believed to be 40 years old, five-foot-nine, has a medium build, a black goatee and was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, black sandals, a black satchel, and a black hat with a white New York Yankees logo.

The third suspect is also 40 years old, five-foot-nine, with a medium build and a black beard. He had on a black hoodie, black pants and a black cap.
