GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Residents on the south side of Great Falls and the Gibson Flats area likely heard or saw a high-speed chase last night following a potential kidnapping report.
According to the Cascade County Sheriff's Office, the pursuit involved 12 officers from the CCSO and the Great Falls Police Department. The chase began when a deputy spotted the suspect's car on 20th Street South, but the driver fled.
Due to the severity of the complaint, which involved a forcible felony, officers continued the pursuit. Although the suspect initially escaped, investigators later found the 90's model dark-colored Chevy truck at a residence, where they arrested the driver on felony charges.
CCSO emphasized that pursuits are taken seriously and only conducted when circumstances deem it appropriate, as public safety is their top priority.
