Big Bikes for Little Tikes making a dream come true - WIZM 92.3FM 1410AM

Riders with Big Bikes for Little Tikes leave Great Rivers Harley-Davidson in Onalaska.

"The bikes...I love hearing 'em....listening to them roar," said Dallas Gardner.

The roar of more than 150 motorcycles was heard in the Coulee Region on Saturday-all for a good cause.

Big Bikes for Little Tikes drew riders from around the area to support this year's recipient, Dallas Gardner.

The 15-year-old faces a number of medical issues. Despite the challenges, he was upbeat and enthusiastic to come out to Great River Harley Davidson in Onalaska.

His mother Kelli was, too. "I'm very happy for this day and I'm very overwhelmed at the same time."

She, too, was looking forward to the sounds of the ride. "Hearing them go down the road, and when we towards our hometown, letting 'em hear the bikes, too. I told them there's a lot of bikes coming through."

Dallas, his mother and father followed the motorcycles on the entire ride.

The route took everyone through Rockland, Cashton, Westby, Dallas' hometown of Hillsboro, and eventually ending in La Crescent at the Time Out Tavern.

Money raised from Saturday's ride goes towards a family trip to Texas in September when Dallas plans to root for...Dallas.

"I can't wait to see the Cowboys play the Packers. It's going to be a good game," he said.

Kelli Gardner said said they were shocked when they found out Dallas was this year's recipient. She expressed her gratitude and was thankful for everyone involved making the wish happen.
