Obituary: Tim Fisher

Obituary: Tim Fisher

Tim Fisher passed away peacefully at his home in Steamboat on Sunday, August 17th, after battling diabetes for many years. He is survived by his wife Dina, his three children Charlie, Claire and Clover, his sister Laurie Schwed, mom Cecile Stevens, his parents Frank & Pat Fisher, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Tim was a long time resident of the 'boat. After high school Tim served his community as an EMT with the Steamboat Ambulance, then cooked breakfast for years at The Shack and was one of Steamboat's original delivery mailmen and couriers.. Although he was forced to retire

early due to his health, "Timmy the mailman" always had a smile for the many locals who

greeted him in town.

He was very proud of his family and would often brag about his wife and kids when they were out of earshot. Until his illness he often worked six days a week to give them the best life

possible.

Camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and just generally being outdoors with friends and family were his favorite things. He always had a joke or story (more than a few off-color!) and he will be sorely missed around the campfire.

The family hopes you will join them for Tim's funeral service at Holy Name Catholic Church at 1PM Sunday, August 24th, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life and potluck lunch at the Perry-Mansfield Pavilion.
