The foray into the Italian market comes through a distribution partnership with Pelpi International, one of Italy's leading two-wheeler distributors.
Hero MotoCorp, among the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturers, on Monday marked its official entry into Italy, taking the company's international presence to 49 countries. The move comes through a distribution partnership with Pelpi International, one of Italy's leading two-wheeler distributors.
With this expansion, Hero MotoCorp becomes the first Indian manufacturer to simultaneously offer diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains across its global portfolio. The partnership will see Pelpi International manage sales, service, and spare parts through a network of over 160 dealers, starting with 36 outlets in key cities and expanding to 54 in subsequent phases.
"Entering Italy, the heartland of two-wheeler culture, marks a defining milestone in our global journey. We aim to redefine the future of mobility with next-generation smart mobility solutions," said Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President, Hero MotoCorp.
Three models - the Xpulse 200 4V, Xpulse 200 4V Pro, and Hunk 440 - will spearhead the company's Italian debut. These Euro 5+ compliant motorcycles reflect Hero's global brand philosophy, 'You Are Limitless', which celebrates freedom, adventure, and individual expression.
The Hunk 440, positioned in the L3e-A2 performance category, delivers 27 BHP and 36 Nm of torque, featuring a high-tensile steel trellis frame, dual-channel ABS, USD cartridge forks by KYB, and a fully digital TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation. Priced from €3,990 (inclusive of VAT), it will be available in Twilight Blue and Phantom Black.
The Xpulse 200 family, priced from €2,990, combines off-road capability with urban practicality. The Xpulse 200 4V Pro variant, at €3,190, features long-travel suspension, three ABS modes (Road, Off-road, and Rally), and Bluetooth connectivity with navigation.
