LEWISBURG - The Standard Journal is reporting... North Shore Railroad's veterans trains will be in Lewisburg this weekend. The railroad will be offering passenger train excursions for the first time aboard the newly dedicated LVRR 9052 (Veterans Unit) and LVRR 9050 (Memorial Unit) during the Inaugural Veterans Benefit Voyage. \\
The event will take place Saturday with departures from Hufnagle Park in Lewisburg at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. All ticket sales will benefit two veteran-support organizations: Expedition Orange and Lycoming County Hometown Heroes.
The event will also feature a basket raffle, with proceeds going directly to these nonprofits. Businesses wishing to donate raffle items can visit nshr.com. This fundraising train rides will be part of this weekend's Fall Festival in Lewisburg.
