The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Saturday for the fourth consecutive day following a run of four increases in five days totaling 3.3 cents, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.583.
The average price has dropped 2.8 cents over the past four days, including nine-tenths of a cent Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.2 cents less than one week and one month ago and $1.083 lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.911 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the fourth consecutive day following a streak of four consecutive increases totaling 3.9 cents, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.509. It has dropped 4.3 cents over the past four days, including 1 cent on Friday.
The Orange County average price is 2.3 cent less than one week ago, nine-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 97.9 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.95 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the third consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.183. It has dropped 2.1 cents over the past three days, including a half-cent Friday.
The national average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 4.1 cents lower than one month ago and 38.2 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.833 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
