Golf Girl Paige Spiranac Says Her Dating Life Is One Thing She Intends To Keep Private

Paige Spiranac shares plenty with her millions of online followers -- golf tips, fitness routines, behind-the-scenes moments from film shoots. But when it comes to her personal life, especially her dating life, she draws a firm line.

In a Q&A session posted to Instagram, the golf influencer and former college standout explained why that part of her world remains off-limits.

"I was previously married," Spiranac said. "I got married young, and when it didn't work out, I decided that I was never, ever, ever, ever going to share my personal life online ever again."

She was married to athletic trainer Steven Tinoco in 2018. The couple split sometime in the following years, though Spiranac has never publicly shared the exact timing or reasons behind the breakup. What she has shared is her reasoning for keeping things private now.

"Still, to this day, many years later, the amount of messages that I get that are horrible and harassing about a previous relationship just really made up my mind," she said.

For Spiranac, the decision is about more than just privacy. It's about peace of mind.

"I am so vulnerable online and I share so much about myself. I'm very open and honest," she said. "That's why I want to keep a little part of something just for me."

She also addressed the assumption that staying quiet about her relationship status is a strategy to keep her large male following intact. Not true, she said.

"It's really just to protect my sanity," she said. "Because if you never put anything online, you never owe anyone an explanation."

Spiranac, who has more than five million followers across platforms, has built a social media brand that's part golf, part glamour, and part good humor. She's known for embracing her image while also speaking candidly about the downsides of online fame.

"I got to shoot my scene with Adam Sandler and he is one of the most genuine, funny, kind, humble human beings that you forget he is Adam Sandler," she said.

She was also front and center on the red carpet at the Lincoln Center premiere, turning heads in a red dress with a sheer skirt. In a clip from the film, Spiranac is seen working in a sporting goods store, helping Sandler's character in a brief but memorable moment.

She may not talk about her love life, but she's not shy about everything else. And for Spiranac, that balance is what keeps it all working.
