FIREFIGHTERS remain at the site of a large barn blaze more than 20 hours after it begun.
Two of the initial nine fire engines are continuing to tackle a large barn fire in Abbots Morton this morning (August 13).
The blaze, which started at around 12.30pm yesterday (August 12) afternoon, has destroyed 250 tonnes of hay bales, several vehicles, farmyard rubble and a cut crop field.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Seven crews - one each from Evesham, Redditch, Pershore, Worcester, Bromsgrove, Upton-upon-Severn and Wyre Forest Fire Stations - plus water carriers from Evesham and Leominster, an incident support unit and environmental protection unit from Tenbury Wells supported by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bidford and Stratford-upon-Avon were called at 12.39pm on August 12 to an agricultural building fire in Abbots Morton.

"A large barn measuring 25m by 15m containing 250 tonnes of hay bales was well alight and the fire had spread to several vehicles, farmyard rubble and a cut-crop field.
"The fire was fought using a compressed air foam system, two hosereel jets, one main jet, backpacks and beaters.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required. The incident was scaled back during the day but two crews remain in attendance."
