Tarleton State announced Friday that men's basketball head coach Billy Gillispie has been placed on temporary administrative leave after an anonymous complaint initiated an employee conduct review.
No details of the nature of the complaint were immediately available, and Tarleton State athletics "will not comment further on the ongoing university personnel matter."
When contacted Friday by The Dallas Morning News, Gillispie declined to comment on the situation.
Gillispie, 65, is in his sixth season at Tarleton State, the longest of his five Division I head coaching stints, which also include time at Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UTEP and Kentucky.
