Full list of Dublin Airport's cancelled & delayed flights TODAY after Storm Amy

Passengers are being advised to follow updates from their airline

STORM Amy has swept across Ireland with powerful winds and heavy rain - bringing a night of chaos and a morning of travel disruption.

The severe weather made landfall late last night, with gusts exceeding 100km/h in parts of the east and south coasts, toppling trees and cutting power to homes across the country.

Emergency services dealt with fallen branches and debris across major routes, while public transport is facing delays.

Dublin Airport has faced one of the biggest impacts, with flight schedules changed for many passengers as Storm Amy continues to move across the east coast.

Airport spokesperson Graeme McQueen said that operations ran through the night, and some flights which were unable to depart yesterday finally took off this morning.

He said that around 20 flights had been cancelled by 8am, with others delayed due to weather issues both in Dublin and at other airports across Europe.

In a statement, he said: "Winds associated with Storm Amy continue to disrupt operations at Dublin Airport this morning, leading to some cancellations and delays.

"Flight operations continued through the night, with a number of flights which couldn't get away yesterday having departed during this morning's first wave.

"As of 8am, around 20 flights have been cancelled by airlines for today. In addition, some outbound and inbound flights are experiencing delays as a result of the weather issues here and at other airports."

McQueen added that wind speeds were expected to ease as the day went on, but passengers should continue checking with their airlines for the latest updates.

He added: "Wind speeds are due to decrease gradually through the day and most airlines are expecting to run full schedules.

"However, with further disruption possible, passengers due to fly today should keep in touch with their airline for latest updates on the status of their flight."

Met Éireann warned that Storm Amy's strongest winds would gradually move eastwards, but lingering showers and blustery conditions would continue overnight.

And Dublin Airport confirmed the disruption in a post on X, adding that delays and cancellations were still being reported well into the morning.

By late morning, several scheduled services had been affected, with passengers facing long waits and rebookings.

Dublin Airport added: "Storm Amy continues to disrupt operations at Dublin Airport this morning, leading to some cancellations & delays.

"Flight operations continued through the night, with a number of flights which couldn't get away yesterday departing in this morning's first wave."

The following services in the late morning and the early afternoon are among those that have been affected.
