A HAUNTING and immersive theatre experience is set to return this winter.
GINIFICENT Theatre Company will bring its acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol to the Great Hall at St George's Hall in Liverpool, running from December 12 to 24, 2025.
Now in its 23rd consecutive year, the production promises a "bone-chilling" retelling of Charles Dickens' classic tale in a new setting.

The company has previously staged the show in the Concert Room for eight years.
Liam Scott, director and producer, said: "We're thrilled to be working in the breathtaking Great Hall this year.
"The space allows us to create something truly special -- we have lots of new changes planned and we can't wait to share them with our audience."
The show features a 14-strong cast, including four musicians who will create a live, cinematic soundscape to transport audiences into Victorian London.

GINIFICENT's adaptation stays true to Dickens' original text and embraces the story's darker, more supernatural elements.
The immersive, in-the-round staging is designed to give every audience member an up-close experience of the action, complete with theatrical effects and atmospheric surprises.
Ken McConnell will star as Ebenezer Scrooge in a performance the company says "delves into the darkest corners of his soul."

Audience feedback from previous years has been overwhelmingly positive.
One attendee said: "We've seen it three years on the run -- fantastic performance in the beautiful St.

Tickets start at £27 and are expected to sell out quickly.
The production may include flashing lights and other immersive theatrical effects.
