FAIRFIELD -- Little Scholars Children's Academy is holding a grand opening on Sept. 13 for its new childcare center in Fairfield.
"Opening this center has been a dream of ours for a long time," Angela Brazeel, director of Little Scholars Children's Academy, said in a statement. "We're excited to create a safe, fun, and engaging place where children can thrive, and we're equally proud to bring new life to a space in this shopping center that's been vacant for more than three years."
Little Scholars, which has been serving local families for years, has expanded from an in-home program into the childcare center.
"The new space will provide top-of-the-line early childhood education and care for Fairfield's children, offering families a trusted and nurturing environment designed to support both academic growth and social development," the academy said in a statement.
The grand opening starts at 11 a.m. The center is located at 1955 W. Texas St., in the Winery Square Food Maxx Shopping Center.
Mayor Catherine Moy is expected to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony. A guided tour of the facility is also planned, along with an opportunity for families to meet the staff and learn more about enrollment.
