A fire damages a house Thursday in western Forsyth County; no injuries reported

A fire started by an electrical short damaged a house Thursday in western Forsyth County, authorities said Friday. No injuries were reported.

Lewisville firefighters responded at 3:18 p.m. to a house fire at 6800 block of Styers Ferry Road, Forsyth County Emergency Services said in a statement.

When they arrived, the firefighters saw smoke coming from the roof of a one-story home, the agency said.

A group of Lewisville, Clemmons, Vienna and Forsyth County firefighters extinguished the blaze in 23 minutes.

The fire caused significant damage to the house, the Forsyth County Emergency Services said.
