When is Dylan Beavers getting called up? Will Beavers get promoted in August 2025? Read about this top fantasy baseball prospect outlook heading into Week 21.
Prior to their contest on Saturday evening against the Houston Astros, the Baltimore Orioles opted to promote their top outfield prospect Dylan Beavers.
During the minor league regular season, Beavers has been one of the most productive outfield hitters at the Triple-A level and was finally rewarded with a long-awaited promotion.
Should fantasy managers look to add Beavers to their bench? When should fantasy managers expect him to get the call? Let's dive in!
In his MLB debut on Saturday evening, the Orioles gave him the starting nod in right field, and he was slated to bat in the six-hole. This was a long-awaited promotion as the Orioles shipped several of their starting outfielders, such as Ramon Laureano and Ryan O'Hearn, to the San Diego Padres prior to the trade deadline.
Before earning the call, Beavers was one of the dominant hitters at Triple-A. Through 94 games with the Norfolk Tides, Beavers has posted a stellar .304/.420/.515 line with 18 home runs and 25 stolen bases.
The California product has flashed high-five category upside in the minor leagues this season. In 2024, Beavers spent most of the season at Double-A but posted a low .756 OPS with 15 home runs and 31 stolen bases. However, seeing him take the next step, especially from a power perspective while facing tougher pitching at Triple-A, is an excellent sign.
Fantasy managers should feel confident adding Beavers in all standard formats this weekend.
The No. 3-ranked prospect in the system has the skill set to contribute to all five territories and should not face any danger in losing regular at-bats during the final month of the regular season.
