Similar to last year's model tester, the GV70 is Genesis's most popular vehicle in the fleet and for good reason. Just look at the curvatures displayed by the unique design setting it apart from the rest. In typical Genesis form, the GV70 has continued sales improvement year over year by 57% with 11,961 sold as of May 2025, up from 8,305 in May of 2024 and 2,969 in May of 2025 alone. These numbers are nothing compared to the GV70 making up 44% of sales in May of 2025 compared to the entire Genesis Fleet; do I have your attention yet? This is one great SUV.
Powering the 2026 Genesis GV70 is a 3.5-liter Twin Turbo V6 engine producing 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque and is paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission. 21-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, heads-up display and a whopping 27-inch OLED instrument cluster was all standard on our Sport Prestige AWD tester. 9 Exterior color options and 4-interior color options were offered on the Sport Prestige AWD model and our Mauna Red was $650 more which was a showstopper.
Genesis is no secret to Grasso's Garage and the hype for the 2026 GV70 is equally no secret. We find it to be ultra-stylish, modern, sleek and priced right for the category that it upholds. With a nicely paired powertrain, rear seat comfort and ample storage, the GV70 rides like a sedan, while having the height of an SUV. As far as awards go, the new GV70 is deserving of something as its brand-known, consumer favorite is certainly something to be proud of.
