The opening elimination of this year's Strictly Come Dancing series has once more been revealed online prior to Sunday evening's results programme.
The outcome of a dance-off between two couples won't be officially disclosed until Sunday evening, but one pair's destiny has already been sealed. The BBC records the feared dance-off immediately following Saturday evening's live broadcast but maintains secrecy around the results for a full day.
The Strictly spoiler has been disclosing the names of the eliminated couples on their website every Saturday night since 2012, much to the frustration of the Strictly production team and judge Anton Du Beke, who has previously indicated it is "ruining" the programme for viewers.
However, this week proved no exception as the celebrity departing this week was revealed online, which Devon Live has chosen not to disclose.
Following the leak of the series' first elimination, supporters flocked to X, previously Twitter, to share their reactions, reports Wales Online.
One viewer commented: "The correct result although I'm surprised that this person went straight into the dance off and I thought they'd have been more popular!" whilst another remarked: "The right result!"
This follows presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcoming this year's contestants back to the legendary ballroom on Saturday evening (October 4) for the second week.
During the evening's programme, Love Island champion and West End performer Amber Davies alongside Nikita Kuzmin secured the top spot on the leaderboard with an outstanding 56 points for their Samba to "Bam Bam" by Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran - this score, along with the other celebrities' marks, are added to their scores from the opening week.
Former Love Island contestant turned West End performer Amber, 29, joined the programme at short notice after Nikita's original celebrity partner, Dani Dyer, had to withdraw due to injury.
Also claiming the summit of the leaderboard were performers such as Lewis Cope and Katya Jones with 55 points, George Clarke and Alexis Warr with 54, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Lauren Oakley with 52, and Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe with 52.
Occupying the centre of the leaderboard were contestants including Karen Carney and Carlos Gu with 51, Vicky Pattison and Kai Widdrington with 47, Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon with 47, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer with 45, La Voix and Aljaž Škorjanec with 43 and Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola with 40.
Towards the bottom of the leaderboard were pairs such as Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell with 39, Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova with 30, Thomas Skinner and Amy Dowden with 29 and Ross King and Jowita Przystał with 25.
