How to watch Club America vs. Gotham FC in the Concacaf W Champions Cup semifinal

With the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup on the line and a spot in FIFA's Women's Club World Cup up for grabs, Club América duels with Gotham FC down in Monterrey. The Liga MX Femenil powerhouse has more rest time and fewer miles to travel come Wednesday night, while the NWSL squad has managed just one win in its last five matches.

This broadcast will also be on ESPN+ and Paramount+.

Wednesday's semifinal two-parter begins with this matchup, followed by Tigres UANL against the Portland Thorns. The regional tournament's first-ever final is slated for Saturday at this same historic venue. This stadium, affectionately known as "The Volcano" for its feverish fan energy, has hosted World Cup action and Freddie Mercury shows alike.

América went 3-0-1 in Group B staging. The highlights included a 7-0 thumping of the Vancouver Whitecaps and a 5-0 blowout versus Santa Fe. The one loss was to Portland, a potential opponent in the final. Club América touts a highly competent offense, captained by Kiana Palacios (three goals in four tournament contests). Midfielder Sarah Luebbert comes into this semifinal with goals in consecutive matches.

Gotham FC went 2-0-2 in Group A. In its last international game, the New York-New Jersey reps scored 13 (thirteen!) goals against Jamaican side Frazsiers Whip. The domestic slate has been far tougher, though, with the team scoreless through three May NWSL matches. Gotham fell 1-0 to San Diego on Friday. Like América, it has also taken a convincing loss to Portland (4-1 back on April 22).

Esther González has seven of her club's 11 league goals so far. The Concacaf scoring was led by Yazmeen Ryan and Lynn Biyendolo, who have since gone on to find new NWSL homes.
