Willie Mullins is planning an audacious Breeders' Cup bid with Ebor winner Ethical Diamond.
The late developing five-year-old has won two of the biggest handicaps of the season - the Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot and the Ebor at York - and Mullins has decided now is the time to step him up in class with an ambitious target.
They do not come much bigger than the $5 million Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar, a race which was won by the globetrotting superstar Rebel's Romance last year. The Godolphin gem is vying for favouritism in an attempt for back-to-back wins, while Ombudsman, Calandagan and Minnie Hauk are others towards the top of the market for the 1m4f event.
