Following a three-week wait since their previous encounter, Wrexham made sure of a winning return thanks to a 22-15 outcome at home to COBRA.
It was the Mid Wales side that had the better of the first half and a successful penalty saw them in the lead in the 12th minute.
Wrexham responded after half-an-hour with an unconverted try from Sam Jones, but a converted score towards the end of the half made sure COBRA had a 10-5 advantage heading into the break.
A bright spell to start the second half turned things in Wrexham's favour.
Number eight Jack Harrison made his way over the whitewash for an unconverted score four minutes after the restart and 10 minutes later, Nick Dodd grabbed Wrexham's third try of the afternoon.
The extras were missed once more and the score was 15-15 when COBRA grabbed an unconverted try in the 65th minute.
The next score would likely prove crucial and it went in Wrexham's favour via a penalty try award 12 minutes from the end.
Pwllheli are two points clear at the top of the standings following their comfortable 53-5 triumph away to Welshpool and defending champions Nant Conwy maintained their 100 per cent winning record via a 39-30 outcome at Llandudno.
Caernarfon's title hopes were dealt a blow by their 27-24 reverse at Bala, while Ruthin pipped hosts Llangefni 14-12 and Bethesda defeated Colwyn Bay 45-17.
It's pretty tight in the upper reaches, with third-placed Caernarfon three points ahead of Wrexham, who are fourth with a game in hand.

Elsewhere, Bro Gwernant defeated Rhosllanerchrugog 60-22.
