Purdue basketball player arrested for OWI in Howard County

KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) -- A Purdue Boilermakers basketball player was arrested in Howard County for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

According to court records, Kokomo Police Department officers on Tuesday arrested and preliminarily charged sophomore guard Jace Rayl for operating while intoxicated - endangering a person and operating vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to at least .08 but less than .15.

As a freshman in 2023, Rayl made his debut in Purdue's 98-45 win against Samford University. Rayl appeared in four games during the 2024-2025 season.

Purdue has not released a statement regarding Rayl's arrest.
