WASHINGTON (TNND) -- Thursday, August 7, marks President Donald Trump's 200th day in office a milestone which typically doesn't garner the attention and reflection that a president's first 100 days does.
However, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that she believes Trump has truly hit his stride following his hundredth day in April, pointing to the passage of the "one big beautiful bill," record low border crossings along the Southern border, and reaching trade agreements. Leavitt told the DailyMail that Trump has "delivered on every single major campaign promise" from his presidential campaign.
"Thanks to President Trump's relentless efforts and record-breaking achievements, the Golden Age of America is officially upon us," Leavitt told the DailyMail.
Trump delivered on his promise to provide Americans the tax cuts he offered in 2017 from his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act through the passage of his one big beautiful bill right before the July 4 weekend. The mega bill brought cuts to taxes on tips and overtime bill, but it also instituted reform for Medicaid, cutting healthcare for nearly 17 million Americans. The bill also killed Biden-era green energy tax credits and allocated funding to assist in Trump's mass deportation efforts.
"We have officially made the Trump tax cuts permanent," Trump said during the July signing ceremony. "That's the largest tax cut in the history of our country. . . . After this kicks in, our country is going to be a rocket ship economically. We've delivered no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security for our great seniors. It makes the child tax credit permanent for 40 million American families. The Golden Age of America is upon us."
Central to Trump's campaign was his promise to secure the border, and in June and July Customs and Border Protection announced that there were zero illegal alien crossings along the Southern border.
After implementing tariffs on over a hundred different countries in April through his "Liberation Day" agenda, he has reached trade agreements with South Korea, Pakistan, Japan, Indosesia, Philippines, Vietname, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.
The administration also points to the AI Action Plan unveiled in July as a bluepoint which will "solidify our position as the global leader in AI and secure a brighter future for all Americans." Trump's efforts to see AI technology grow in the United States saw success in July when Oracle and OpenAI announced their efforts to see the Stargate project, which would launch data centers across the country, will continue.
However, the Trump administration's handling of documents from the investigation surrounding late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has become a major sticking point as his supporters demand that all of the files be released.
