Boyle Heights native Robert Vargas -- and artist for one of Los Angeles' February covers -- brings his renowned muralist skills to the Project Angel Food Vine Street headquarters, making the building's southern exterior into a symbol of unity, love and resilience. Witness his painting daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Aug. 26.

Alexandra Savior at The Troubadour -- Aug. 14-16

Following the April release of Beneath the Lilypad, the singer-songwriter hits the famed West Hollywood club for three nights with support from Poppy Jean Crawford, Fightmaster and Dark Tea.

Before its move to Elysian Valley, Somos NELA throws its final Cypress Park night market from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring foods, drinks, music, crafts and more from local vendors.

Crustacean Beverly Hills Vietnamese Street Food Pop-Up -- Aug. 14-17

Running through Aug. 24, Crustacean Beverly Hills toasts to 50 years with the return of its Vietnamese street food pop-up, Little C. The lunchtime menu is available noon to 3 p.m. and includes DIY roasted duck summer rolls, a pho bar and bánh hỏi-wrapped crispy prawns, among other dishes.

Spinning Sunset: A Vinyl Wax Fair -- Aug. 16

From 1 to 7 p.m., The Sunset Strip transforms into a neighborhood-wide fête of music with activations and promotions happening at Book Soup, Boa Steakhouse, Soul Cycle, Andaz West Hollywood and more. At the center of it all, The Pink Dot parking lot becomes a vinyl and music memorabilia market with live DJ sets, including one from Mayer Hawthorne starting at 5 p.m. The after party heads to Hotel Ziggy from 6 to 9 p.m. for more vinyl DJ sets, Pizza Girl bites and themed drink specials. Cool Down @ Bev with Issa Rae -- Aug. 16

For its final installment of the summer, Cool Down @ Bev goes big with host Issa Rae and brands like Sienna Naturals, Viarae and Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen from 2 to 5 p.m.

Over 300 vehicles, live music, vendors and more take over Downtown El Segundo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Summer Concerts at The Broad: Past+ Future= Present, Pt. 1 -- Aug. 16

Complementing Jeffrey Gibson: the space in which to place me exhibit currently on view, The Broad presents a two-night series of musical programming, beginning with PAST + FUTURE = PRESENT, Pt. 1 featuring Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Jlin, Glen Begay, Bearspring and DJ Noir across two stages. Night two happens Sept. 20.

Endless Summer at Luxe -- Aug. 16-17

Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel embraces the season with two afternoons of poolside music, cocktails, local vendors, barbecue eats and relaxation.

Linden New Menu Items

Chef Jonathan Harris shows off refreshed culinary inspiration with new menu items that continue Linden's coalescing of New York, Caribbean and Jewish flavors and traditions. Highlights include lobster frites with a scotch bonnet béarnaise sauce; Crab & Caviar (a mixed dip of smoked blue crab, fresh crab meat and crème fraîche topped with Kaluga caviar and served with warm Johnny cakes); and Not a Pot Pie, a returned fan-favorite wagyu pie with an updated recipe (Just 25 will be available each night).
