Busan Museum's Chuseok 'Full Moon Hunters' Hanbok Event

Busan Science Museum blends tradition, science in 'Five-Colorful Chuseok' holiday programs

This Chuseok, Busan Museum will offer a mission-type game where visitors can wear traditional Korean attire, hanbok, similar to the globally popular Netflix animation *KPop Demon Hunters*.

Busan Museum is hosting a special cultural event, *Full Moon Hunters*, during the Chuseok holiday to provide visitors with a unique holiday experience.

Key programs include the *Full Moon Search Event*, *KPop Demon Hunters Traditional Costume Experience*, outdoor folk games, and a photo zone featuring a large full moon and a modern reinterpretation of *Ilwolbongdo* (a painting traditionally placed behind a king's throne in the palace). The *Full Moon Search Event* is a storytelling-based experience where visitors collect pieces of a full moon by exploring the museum. Completing the mission rewards participants with a traditional knot craft item.

The *Traditional Costume Experience* allows visitors to wear hanbok and take photos in the photo zone, which features a large full moon and a modernized *Ilwolbongdo*.

All programs are free and will operate without closure throughout the Chuseok holiday until the 9th.

Busan National Science Museum has prepared a Chuseok folk game experience event, *Five-Colorful Chuseok*, designed to blend traditional and scientific cultural experiences during the holiday. The event features five themed spaces based on the traditional *obangsaek* (blue, yellow, white, black, and red).

Key programs are *Blue (Traditional Play Plaza)*, *Yellow (Chuseok Atelier)*, *White (Movie Screening Room)*, *Black (Media Plaza)*, and *Red (Wish Tree Plaza)*.

At the *Traditional Play Plaza*, visitors can experience folk games like *jegichagi* (shuttlecock kicking), *ttakji* (card flipping), *yutnori* (board game), and *tuho* (arrow throwing), while learning the scientific principles behind the games. Completing missions grants commemorative gifts. The *Chuseok Atelier* offers hands-on crafting of traditional items like spinning tops, *songpyeon*-shaped soap, and paper lanterns.

The *Movie Screening Room* will show the animated films *Elemental* and *WALL-E* twice daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the auditorium. The *Black: Media Plaza* features an interactive floor media game for full-body play. The *Red: Wish Tree Plaza* allows visitors to hang wishes for their family's well-being on a tree.

The event runs until the 9th during the Chuseok holiday but will be closed on the 6th, Chuseok day. Some experiences require advance booking via Naver.
