Chourio, Mitchell keep Brewers title hopes alive with 5-3 win

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAW) - The New York Mets were four outs away from sweeping the Brewers. That is until Jackson Chourio and Garrett Mitchell had something to say about it. Both players hit separate home runs to propel the Brewers ahead and leave winning game two of the NL Wild Card round 5-3.

Choruio, who previously hit a solo home run in the top of the first, struck again at just the right time, tying the ball game in the 8th inning. Mitchell, who came in to pinch-hit for Gary Sanchez, would put the Brewers ahead in wild fashion with a two-run home run.

Joe Ross would exit as the winning pitcher while Devin Williams secured the save in the 9th. Game three's start time is TBD, we'll provide an update once we learn more.
