More people in Singapore are looking to buy electric cars before the early-adopter incentives discontinue. Under the EV Early Adoption Incentive Scheme and Enhanced Vehicular Emissions Scheme, electric car buyers stand to receive up to S$40,000 in rebates. Both schemes are set to expire by end-December. While many sellers are already taking steps to meet demand, there is uncertainty over whether it will persist into next year. EVs made up 41% of new car registrations in the first half of 2025.
