Mumbai-based digital infrastructure provider Shaurrya Teleservices, on Tuesday, said the company is working on an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that would disclose network quality of each operator in a particular area so that customers can get the best services.
"It will be our own in-house developed app, which would tell the customer about how the networks are behaving in a particular area. Call drops still happen and sometimes the network just vanishes in a particular area. So, this can help the telecom service providers (TSPs) to improve their networks in those areas because we will report the metrics to both the operators and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI)," Mahesh Choudhary, Chief Executive Officer, Shaurrya Teleservices, said.
He said the AI solution is in a test phase right now, and will be launched early 2026.
Meanwhile, the company also said it plans to partner with leading developer associations such as CREDAI and NAREDCO to raise awareness about digital ratings while showcasing case studies of early certified projects. It is also preparing to launch knowledge initiatives that will educate stakeholders on how connectivity certifications can accelerate India's 5G and Digital India goals.
TRAI empanelment
TRAI, in August, empanelled Shaurrya Teleservices as one of the country's initial 'Digital Connectivity Rating Agency' (DCRAs) to assess properties across India on critical parameters of digital connectivity, including fibre readiness, in-building mobile coverage, broadband quality and Internet of things (IoT) integrations. Properties will be assigned a star rating based on actual performance, in line with TRAI's standardised methodology released in August.
Shaurrya will not only certify properties but also work hand-in-hand with telecom and Internet service providers which will enable property developers to enhance their ratings through its infrastructure solutions, from in-building solution and fibre-to-the-home to 5G microcells, the company added.
Apart from Shaurrya, other agencies selected by TRAI DCRA include Ardom Towergen, Crest Digitel, CTL Infocom, Estex Telecom, Frog Cellsat, Phistream Consulting and TUV SUD South Asia.
