NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An off-duty Metro Nashville police officer was injured in a fight with bar security guards on Saturday night, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
MNPD reports that a group of four off-duty officers tried to get into Losers bar on Division Street after leaving another adjacent bar at around 9:10 p.m. on Saturday.
However, security turned them away.
The group then reportedly crossed the street, and words were exchanged between one off-duty officer and a Losers security guard.

MNPD said the security guard then crossed the street, and the altercation became physical in front of Velvet Taco.
While the off-duty officers and security guards fought, one officer was hit in the head and fell to the ground unconscious.
The off-duty officer was taken to a Nashville hospital by ambulance, and he was discharged this afternoon.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
