Detained US greencard holder Mahmoud Khalil's wife has slammed the US for not allowing him to have contact with his family, including his newborne son.
"I am furious at the cruelty and inhumanity of this system that dares to call itself just," Khalil's wife, Noor Abdalla, said in a statement slamming the US Immigration department for preventing Khalil from meeting their son.
"This is not just heartless. It is deliberate violence, the calculated cruelty of a government that tears families apart without remorse," Abdalla said.
Khalil is a Columbia University student who was detained for his Palestine advocacy.
