22. Texas 8
23. Arizona State 25
24. Memphis --
25. Vanderbilt 23
-- A comfortable win at Purdue, plus some help from UCLA and Florida, moved Illinois up two spots this week. It will zoom near the Top 10 if it upsets Ohio State on Saturday.
-- Not sure what happened to the Nittany Lions, who lost to the winless Bruins. Or Texas, which dropped the ball against staggering Florida. Really weird. Tells me it is hard to beat anybody in college football these days.
-- Better late than never, say hello to Virginia and Memphis. The Cavaliers edged previously undefeated Louisville, while the Tigers remained perfect with a blowout win against Tulsa.
