Stromile Swift returns to Shreveport to provide free basketball camps

SHREVEPORT, La. - Caddo Parks and Recreation joined forces with former NBA and LSU basketball player Stromile Swift to host a free basketball camp.

Swift graduated from Fair Park High School and wanted to give back to the city. His team taught young basketball players fundamentals in a fun environment.

"People like to charge for the camps at a lot of places, but I wanted to come back home and give back to my community. I want to give back to the city where I'm from and pay it forward. When I was growing up, there were a lot of people who helped me get to where I am today. I want to be that for someone," said Swift.

Caddo Parks and Recreation and Swift will team up for more basketball camps in the future.
