COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After the second game of the season, the Buckeyes once again made their way to the fans at the south end of the Horseshoe to serenade them with "Carmen Ohio" after their 70-0 win against the Grambling State Tigers.
The next time the players come to the end zone for "Carmen Ohio" will be after the home game against the Ohio Bobcats next Saturday. That will be the last game before the Buckeyes go into the Big Ten conference schedule.
"Carmen Ohio" has been part of OSU's history since the early 1900s, and it was then-coach Jim Tressel in 2001 who started the tradition of having players sing the song for fans after every game, win or lose.
