The Parkway Panthers cruised to a 43-13 victory over the Carroll Bulldogs in their season opener Friday night at Bobby Marlow Field at Preston Crownover Stadium.
The Panthers led 36-0 at the half.
They drove 65 yards for a touchdown after receiving the opening kickoff.
Parkway only had to go 4 yards for their second touchdown after a snap sailed over the Carroll punter's head.
Parkway went 31 yards for its third touchdown after recovering a fumble. The Panthers drive 67 yards for their fourth.
Another errant punt snap into the end zone resulted in the fifth touchdown.
Parkway subs got plenty of playing time.
Making his first start since an injury in Week 4 ended his junior season, quarterback Kaleb Williams completed 18-of-23 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.
Gary Burney had eight catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. Gabriel Gray had six for 73 and a TD. Josh Coleman had five for 52 and a TD.
Damian Decaldecal led the Panthers on the ground with 63 yards on seven carries. Braxxton Black had 40 on six carries and a touchdown. AJ Johnson also scored a rushing TD.
Gabe Solieu recovered the high punt snap into the end zone.
Linebacker Brady Prine led the Panthers defense with 13 total tackles. He also forced a fumble.
Mark Copenhaver had six tackles. AJ Burnside had five tackles and an interception. Rod Johnson had five tackles, including two for loss.
Dallas Loche had an interception. He also forced a fumble and recovered one. Colby Lee recovered a fumble.
Thad Smith was 5-for-5 on extra-point kicks. Brylan Washington scored a two-point conversion.
Parkway completes non-district play Friday against Woodlawn at home. The Knights defeated Green Oaks 30-22 in their opener.
