BOCA RUDETON: From Feet On Chairs To Dogs In Restaurants, It's Another Gross Week - BocaNewsNow.com

Entitled. Self-Absorbed. Socially Inept. Rude. Welcome To Our Weekly Look At Locals And Visitors Behaving Poorly.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) -- If you think that adults are generally good people who are kind, caring, self-aware, and wanting to present themselves in a way to not offend others, you clearly are not living in South Palm Beach County. Boca Rudeton is back for August 17, 2025, full of people who are just plain rude.

We start at Boca Raton Town Center Mall where the woman seen above apparently needed to rest after what must have been some heavy-duty shopping. Why else would she need to put her feet on chairs that are designed for sitting? There are no signs saying, "yes rude lady, put your feet up on this chair and play on your phone." We are also unaware of these chairs really ever being cleaned. So we ask: "what the hell are you thinking? Why, ma'am, are you so rude?"

Let's stay at the mall for our next Boca Rudeton nominee as we see this couple proudly walking a dog in Boca Raton Town Center Mall. If Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG) ever wonders why its malls are failing and Amazon is soaring, look no further than this image, or the images we often post of dogs leaving poop behind in the mall. Shopping online is a pleasant experience. Going to the mall and seeing people walking their dogs, and having to navigate around dog poop, is not.

Also gross, Chipotle (NYSE: CMG). Not necessarily the food itself (although sometimes), but walking into the fast casual chain in Delray Beach and seeing a man and his animal in a location where food is served. Not only is it illegal, it's just disgusting. Chipotle has suffered a rather significant stock drop over the past six months. One has to wonder if letting animals inside a restaurant that the company wants people to believe is clean could be part of the problem.

Also gross, this woman with her dog in Poppies Deli at 4900 Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach. We've written quite a bit about health inspection problems at Poppies, and the dog problem that apparently continues. We don't know why anyone would think it's okay to have your dog on your lap in a restaurant where the dog's mouth is hovering (potentially slobbering) on a table meant for humans. We also don't know why Poppies, which keeps getting cited for problems, doesn't seemingly do anything to solve its problems.

The same is apparently true at "Bagels With" in Delray Beach. We've written about this restaurant as well. This time, our tipster caught a woman with her dog waiting in line. Dogs are not allowed in restaurants in Florida. It's just that simple. Why is this rude woman carrying her pooch inside? Why is "Bagels With" doing nothing about it? Do we think a health inspector may soon return? Just wondering...

That brings us to our weekly reminder of Florida law when it comes dogs. As always, we thank LaBamba in Delray Beach for promoting -- and following -- the law.

On with Boca Rudeton...

In Publix on South Cypress Road in Pompano Beach, this woman apparently told a customer that she's allowed to have the dog in the store because she has asthma. Can we think about that for a moment? How is this dog going to help someone who has asthma? Might it administer an inhaler? And if so, how exactly does that happen? Does the dog pull the inhaler off of its leash, open the woman's mouth with its paws while simultaneously grasping an inhaler and pushing it? Or does it magically pull out its D-Phone and call for help? Publix has huge signs everywhere saying no pets. Our suggestion: if you're going to make up a story, at least make up one that's plausible.

To parking now and Flakowitz in Boynton Beach (7410 Boynton Beach Boulevard). That's the recent scene of the image above. The white Lexus LS500 with Florida plate K35UH apparently started the problem by inexplicably parking OVER the parking spot divider. That left the van with a handicapped tag -- a van that legitimately needed to use the handicapped space -- to have to park on its divider. Driver of Lexus with Florida plate K35UH, we humbly suggest that you need to learn how to park.

So who is this week's winner? Our judges have crunched the numbers and counted and recounted like it's the 2000 election. We have to go with ... the woman with her feet on the chair at Boca Raton Town Center Mall. We know it's not the norm -- our winner doesn't have a dog and isn't parking poorly. But there is something SO BOCA about this woman putting her feet on a chair in a public area. Again, it's a chair meant for people, not feet. She has to be our winner. Readers of Boca Rudeton know that we don't really give prizes, but if we did, it would be a pair of shoes that say "I.M." on the left side and "DISGUSTING" on the right. Let's look at her one more time:
