The Arkansas State Police on Monday arrested a Pulaski County man charged in a shooting on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock earlier in the day, a Tuesday news release states.
Troopers arrested Al'Khaliq Rogers, 21, around 5:25 p.m. after dash camera footage from a tractor-trailer truck hit by gunfire around 2:45 p.m. on Interstate 40 helped police locate Rogers' vehicle at a Jacksonville apartment complex, the release states.
The shooting near the Springhill exit caused minor injuries to the truck driver, a 50-year-old Arizona man, and shattered the truck's window, the release states. Investigators pulled a bullet from the interior of the truck's cab.
Officers arresting Rogers located three firearms -- one of which had been reported stolen in Oklahoma -- as well as illegal marijuana, multiple drum magazines for a rifle and pistols and a body armor vest, the release states.
Rogers was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of committing a terroristic act, first-degree battery, unlawful discharge of a firearm, simultaneous possession of firearms and narcotics, possession of drugs with intent to deliver and theft by receiving, the release states. He was being held Tuesday evening in lieu of a $150,000 bond, an online inmate roster showed.
