TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Kings River is closed for the season for all boats, jet skis and other motorized watercraft.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office made the decision because of the water level and flow of the river.
It says there could be hazards under the surface that you can't see, which can make it dangerous for boats and jet skis.
The closure affects the Kings River in Tulare County.
However, it is still open to other types of recreation, including swimming and floating.
The sheriff's office reminds you to wear a life vest if you're in the water.
Deputies will be monitoring the area to enforce this closure.
