Netflix viewers demand more episodes of 'chilling' series from The Conjuring creator | Wales Online

Netflix has given a sneak peek at a spine-chilling new series from the creator of The Conjuring, which has already got subscribers clamouring for more.

Set to premiere on 7 October, the eerie documentary series combines "immersive reenactments and present-day interviews" to recount paranormal encounters from the perspective of those who experienced them.

The trailer for the series unveils the story of a woman whose dream of moving into her ideal home in a picturesque neighbourhood was "shattered" as she "just didn't feel safe any more".

Another participant describes how he felt driven to insanity by voices and moving objects, stating: "Something happened in that room and we were the ones who triggered it".

Audiences are forewarned of a "new nightmare" on the horizon as the series promises "real stories, dark secrets and pure fear", reports the Express.

The series, named True Haunting, is the brainchild of the renowned master of horror James Wan.

After the trailer was posted on Netflix's X page, fans flooded the comments with their reactions. Andy Whisney exclaimed: "I need one million episodes."

Somtel_Crypt expressed their anticipation, adding: "If it's James Wan, we know it's going to be terrifying."

@pandavishnu08 remarked: "Sounds spooky perfect for an October night thriller."

KING advised: "Watch during daylight. There is no way I am turning off lights and watching this at night."

@BeenKingJay commented: "Like a newer Paranormal Witness or Haunting, NEED IT."

Jayden Ross expressed his anticipation, stating: "Can't wait for the scares... this is gonna be intense."

James Wan, a Malaysian-Australian filmmaker, is renowned for his contributions to the Saw and Insidious franchises, as well as The Conjuring Universe.

The Conjuring holds the record as the highest-grossing horror franchise, raking in over $2 billion (£1.4million).
